I. Instances When You May Need To Make Payments and How To Pay Traffic Ticket Online

traffic ticket attorney

If you were cited for a traffic violation, it’s in your best interest to hire an experienced traffic ticket attorney to help you fight the ticket. This is especially true if your ticket conviction can potentially add points on your license. Traffic tickets that may carry points include speeding, running a stop sign, illegal turn, or crossing double lines, among others. Having points on your license may increase your insurance premiums, leaving you to pay more money over time than it would to hire an experienced traffic ticket attorney.

Hiring a traffic ticket attorney could help you avoid points on your license if the traffic ticket gets dismissed, if the ticket is amended to a non-moving violation, or you complete traffic school if eligible. While a dismissal is the ideal outcome for any traffic ticket, there are times where the best possible outcome means reducing the ticket to a non-moving violation or completing traffic school, which means you will avoid points on your license but some fees must still be paid to the court.

If you find yourself having to pay fees to the court and you’re wondering how to make those payments, we’ve got you covered. Let’s explore the various ways you can pay traffic ticket online in Riverside County Superior Court. Make sure you have your case number handy because you’ll need it to make a payment regardless of the method you choose from below. The easiest and most convenient way to make a payment (in our opinion) is by paying online. Here are the steps you need to take to pay traffic ticket online:

To make payments online, go to https://www.epay-it.com/. Choose your location, in this case Riverside County Superior Court. This will take you to Step 2: Find Your Citation. There’s 3 methods you can search for your citation: A) Citation/Case, B) Name, and C) Driver’s License. Depending on the method you pick, you’ll be asked to provide various identifiers (i.e. First Name, Last Name, DOB, Driver’s License Number, Citation/Case Number, etc). Once you’ve entered the information needed, you will find your case (or multiple cases if you have multiple active tickets). Click on the case number you want to make payments on and it’ll take you to Step 3: Select Options.

In this section,  you will be given the option to make partial payments (installment payments) or make a full payment. Select the option you prefer and continue. You will then be asked to  provide your card information so you can process your payment. As we’ve stated, this is our preferred method of paying a traffic ticket in Riverside County Superior Court, but it’s not the only way. Let’s look at the other methods you can pay your traffic ticket in Riverside County Superior Court.

If you have previously set up payment installments for your traffic ticket or if you’d like to pay your fine in full, you can pay using a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card by calling 951-222-0384. This is another great option since it’s an automated telephone service that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As a reminder, please have your case number available when trying to pay for your traffic ticket over the phone.

If you prefer to make your payment by mail, you can do so by paying with a check, money order, or credit card information. If you’re paying by check or money order, make sure it’s payable to “Riverside Superior Court” and be sure to include your case number – this is very important! If you want to pay using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discovery card, you must complete the payment coupon located on the bottom of your courtesy notice provided by the court. Whichever method you choose, you’ll need to mail your payment and the coupon on the bottom of your courtesy notice to:

If your ticket is traffic school eligible, you will need to sign up for traffic school. You can do this online by searching for a traffic school near you using the Occupational Licensing Status Information System (OLSIS). You can also sign up by telephone by calling 951-222-0384. Another option is signing up in person at any traffic court location. Lastly, you can sign up by mail: You’ll need to send a check for the full amount of your fine plus a $63.00 traffic school processing fee. Be sure to make your check or money order payable to “Riverside Superior Court” and add your citation number on the check. Send your check or money order to:

Keep in mind that you have to provide a court code to the traffic school you sign up for. If your ticket is out of Banning Court, Corona Court, Hemet Court, Moreno Valley Court, Murrieta Court, or Temecula Court, you will need to provide the Western Region Code – code#33460. If your ticket is out of Blythe Court or Indio Court, you will need to provide the Desert Region Code – code #33450
